How you can help

The BCYS is a non-profit making charity, dedicated to helping young people discover more about their faith through a whole range of service, social and spiritual events and opportunities.

We try to ensure no young person is ever excluded on grounds of cost, and we rely completely on donations to help us support young people.

To this end, we've teamed up with justgiving — a website that supports charities by making it easier for people to donate money online.

Online donations

There are two ways to support us through the justgiving site.

Option 1

Simply visit our dedicated donations page to make a single or regular donation to support Catholic youthwork in the diocese. All you need to do is enter the amount you want to give followed by your credit or debit card details. If you've never donated via justgiving before, then you'll be asked to set up an account — don't worry, it's easy. If you have an account, you'll just need to login. Then you just confirm what you're donating and that's it.

Option 2

Alternatively, why not set up your own fundraising page? If you have a fundraising event for the BCYS, you can promote your page on justgiving and then when people donate in support of your event, the money comes straight through to BCYS. It's a great way of managing and publicising your event as well!

Don't be put off by references to Brentwood Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust. We are part of the BRCDT however the trustees have kindly agreed that any donations made via the justgiving site go directly to the youth service: donations will not be divided between other diocesan commissions.

N.B. justgiving will deduct a small percentage of any donation for card processing.

Our charity number is 234092, part of the Brentwood RC Diocesan Trust, and donations can be gift aided. If you are a UK taxpayer and you declare you want to gift aid your donation, HMRC will give as an additional 28 pence for every pound you donate at no extra cost or effort to you. Email jane@bcys.net for a gift aid form.
