CAFOD Young Leaders' Weekend

Learn about how to make a difference in the face of injustices in the world

Friday 5th to Sunday 7th December 2008

CAFOD and Brentwood Catholic Youth Service are running a joint training weekend for young leaders (from school years 10 to 13) at Walsingham House, Lionel Road, Canvey Island, Essex SS8 9DE.

The weekend is an opportunity to learn about how to make a difference in the face of injustices in the world and how to lead others to do the same. We will travel to Central London on the Saturday afternoon (included in the price) and there will be an opportunity to meet Stephen Pound MP.

The cost of the weekend is £50 which includes all meals for the weekend, with the first meal being breakfast on Saturday morning. Please ask your parish or school (if a Catholic school) for sponsorship as they will have been made aware of the event and may be able to help you.

The weekend is being subsidised by CAFOD and Brentwood Catholic Youth Service.

Closing date for applications is Friday 28th November. Confirmation of your place and more details will be sent on receipt of your application form.
